These can be completely customized so they can be holiday oriented.
Online Homeschooling Quizzes
There are some websites that will allow online use to create and design custom quizzes. Some of the websites even give help in grading, in management, and in having multilingual usage. Some of the quiz sites recommended for homeschoolers and parents are:
- Quiz Star – This has a 60 day free trial, and then it is $3.95 a month. The most frugal way to get the most out of this site is to do the majority of quizzes during the free trial and save them for future use.
- Discovery School’s Quiz Maker – This has a frequently asked questions section, a virtual classroom, and sample quizzes to get started. It is very user friendly and from Discovery, a leader in education.
- Quiz Box’s Quiz Maker – One of the easiest to navigate websites on quizzes. This customizes the quiz by how many questions the quiz should have, the title of the quiz, how many choices to give for the answer, and the after scoring section. Very user friendly and highly recommended for first time homeschoolers and quiz makers.
Homeschool Materials – Flash Cards
This is an old fashioned learning item that never goes out of style. This classic learning structure can give the homeschooler math, phonics, and even medical terminology flash cards.
- Educational Press – At Educational Press they have cards on a multitude of topics from math to Dr. Suess. This is the most user friendly of the flash card sites mentioned here. They have new PDF format worksheets for the homeschooler as well.
- Flash Card Exchange – Currently they have on their website 17.9 million flashcards ranging from anatomy to English, from Chinese to drugs. It is truly one of the most comprehensive of all the homeschool resources.
K-12 Homeschool Puzzles
These puzzle creatures can make suduko and kakuro puzzles, criss cross, word searches, math squares, and even number blocks. They can be fully customized to work on any grade level in a homeschool environment.
- edHelper – A wonderful site for any educational need. This site will have puzzles for all age ranges and grade levels. They even have special education resources on the site.
- Eclipse Crossword – There have been over two million downloads from the Eclipse Crossword website. This is a simple to use site, where you can have your crossword formed and printed in a matter of minutes.
- Discovery School’s Puzzle Maker – Just like for the Quizzes section, Discovery also has a puzzle maker on their website. They have great formats and user friendly guidance for first time puzzle creators.
